A message from Ralph Castelli
Ralph A. Castelli, Jr.
Whether you want to admit it or not, we all have “control issues.” If you deeply care about something then you will undoubtedly want control over its outcome. This applies to everything: parenting, investing, your workplace, business ownership, and more. So, much of this edition is dedicated to the topic of control.

As many have experienced, the IRS has more control over us than we think. The cover story talks about just one area of IRS control that needs attention.

Some people take the subject of control too far. On page two, you’ll see that workplace deception is not just for television drama.

On the flip side, business owners need to learn to relinquish some control too if they want to take their businesses to the next stage of success. It has often been said that owners need to spend more time working on their businesses and less time working in their businesses. The article on page 4 will describe how to make that happen.

One of the greatest benefits an attorney can provide is the feeling of control over a difficult situation. You’ll see an example of this on page 3, where litigation attorney Michael Weikert helped his clients fight a claim and, more important, keep their business.

Whether you’re fighting for control of your work life or your personal life, we are always here to help.

Best Wishes,
RAC Sig
