For two decades, Robert Zawideh has successfully resolved significant lawsuits and business matters on behalf of individuals, businesses and municipalities. Mr. Zawideh’s strengths include representing businesses and families involved in estate and post-death disputes, complex business and commercial litigation, employment claims, franchise matters, real estate claims and contract disputes.
Some of Mr. Zawideh’s past representative client successes include:
- Favorably resolving probate dispute involving a probate estate valued in excess of $17,000,000;
- In a construction lien case, receiving an award of no cause of action on Plaintiff’s claim against his client, while obtaining a $390,000 award on his client’s counterclaim;
- Successfully defending a $650,000 UCC claim against his client, a successor in possession of debtor’s collateral. Plaintiff agreed to dismiss his claims against Plaintiff in exchange for a promise not to be held responsible for attorney fees and costs;
- Restoring title to a two-acre lakefront parcel then appraised at $2,200,000;
- Converting an $860,000 interim arbitration award into a Final Arbitration Award of approximately $2,200,000, then successfully defending that award before the United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (a decision upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court); and
- Successfully defending a $500,000 employment claim. After first three hours of Plaintiff’s deposition, Plaintiff accepted $1,000 for dismissal with prejudice and mutual release of claims.
Robert Zawideh’s litigation practice has taken him before Michigan’s trial and appellate courts, including the Michigan Supreme Court, as well as before federal courts, state courts and arbitration panels across the United States. He has been admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Michigan, Ohio, California, Illinois, Louisiana, Utah and Washington, D.C.
